Flying Trapeze Camp in Santa Barbara
Flying Trapeze Camp at Santa Barbara Trapeze Co. is a full-day break camp for ages 6 to 14 in downtown Santa Barbara. Campers spend the week on real flying trapeze plus aerial silks, trampoline, and tumbling, then perform at a family showcase at 2 PM on the last day of each session. It runs $485 for Fall Break, $365 for Winter Week 1, and $485 for Winter Week 2, November 23 to December 31, 2026, with free extended care. Prefer to come for a day? Aerial Silks & Lyra
Climb, spin, and build shapes on silks and aerial hoop under coaches who do this for a living.

Ground Skills
Handstands, tumbling, balance, and flexibility. The foundation every circus skill is built on.
Performance
Timing, presence, and showmanship, rehearsed all week for the Open House Showcase.

Real physical capability, and the quiet confidence that comes from doing hard things and landing them.

Drop-Off & Warm-Up
Check in, stretch, and get the body ready.
Flying Trapeze
Morning on the rig. Takeoffs first, catches by the end of the week.
Lunch Break
Bring a packed lunch. Shaded eating area on site.
Aerial & Ground Skills
Silks, lyra, trampoline, tumbling. Campers rotate through stations.
Cool Down
Stretch, recap the day, set up for tomorrow.
Pickup
Coaches walk campers to the gate.

The Friday Showcase
Every week ends in front of family. Campers perform what they built all week, and it is the moment the work pays off.

Trapeze camp questions
What ages is trapeze camp for?
Ages 6 to 14. No experience needed. Coaches meet each camper at their level and progress from platform takeoffs to live catches over the week.
How much does it cost?
$485 for Fall Break, $365 for Winter Week 1, and $485 for Winter Week 2. Single days are $135. Extended care from 8–9 AM and 3–4 PM is free.
Is flying trapeze safe for kids?
Every flyer is in a safety harness and belay line the entire time on the rig, with a professional catcher below. Staff are 100% background-checked and the coach ratio is 6:1.
What should my camper bring?
Fitted athletic clothes they can move in, hair tied back, a packed lunch, a water bottle, and sunscreen applied before arrival. No loose clothing or jewelry on the rig.
When does camp run?
Three break sessions, November 23 through December 31, 2026, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 3 PM, with a family showcase at 2 PM on the last day of each session.
Ready to fly?
A full day of real trapeze and circus arts, capped by a Open House Showcase. Free early drop-off and late pickup. Weeks fill through the summer.
