Flying trapeze classes at Santa Barbara Trapeze Co. are coached sessions for all ages in downtown Santa Barbara. An open class is $85. Masterclasses are $85 for adults and $100 for kids and teens. No experience is needed, the weight limit for flying is 250 lb, and you are coached from the grip through the takeoff, the swing, and the release toward a live catch.

You are coached through the grip, the takeoff, the swing, and the release, in the right progression, working toward a live catch with a coach on the catch bar. You leave with an actual skill, not a story about the time you tried.

Flying trapeze questions

I've never done this. Can I really fly the first day?

Yes. Every class is built for first-timers, and you will be on the bar inside the first 20 minutes.

I'm scared of heights.

Good. Coaches work you through fear, not around it. Scared and brave happen at the same time.

Is there a weight limit?

250 lb for flying. Call us at (805) 515-4035 about a specific flyer.

What do I wear?

Form-fitting athletic wear, nothing loose, hair tied back, no jewelry.

Am I too old?

You're not too old. You're ready. Flying trapeze welcomes all ages within the 250-lb limit.
