My children 5 & 7 years old loved it! The instructors were kind, funny and put safety above all. It was two hours of amazing learning and fun flying. We can’t wait to come back again!
Santa Barbara Trapeze is INCREDIBLE! Shane and his crew (Jesse and Axel) were amazing and so supportive! I didn’t realize how much this would challenge my confidence but these guys are super professional and helped me calm my nerves so I could fly. I felt totally safe and it was fun! I would absolutely refer this to anyone looking for adventure, fun, and helping build your self belief that anything is possible!!!
We have hosted two parties at Santa Barbara Trapeze, and both experiences were fantastic! From the moment we checked in, everything ran smoothly, thanks to Shane's excellent communication and support. He ensured the booking process was easy and checked in during the party to make sure everything was going well.
The setup was accommodating; they provided a table for us, and we were allowed to bring our own food, which made it easy to set up snacks, pizza, and drinks. There was a shaded area with comfortable seating where the kids could relax and watch their friends fly.
Safety was clearly a top priority. Instructors Brie, Owen, and Kate did a remarkable job guiding our group of 10 and 11-year-old boys, making them feel confident and safe while learning to fly.
In addition to parties, Santa Barbara Trapeze offers a variety of programs, including camps during school breaks, weekly classes, and weekend open sessions, as well as parkour classes.
We couldn't be happier with our experiences and look forward to returning!
Too seldom do we find business where their goal, first and foremost, is making sure You the Customer, is the most important part of their work.
Randy and Shane are true gems, and I was privileged to have them by my side when I took my leap.

SBTC is my favorite Santa Barbara destination! Shane and Chris helped me get over my crippling fear of trapeze and give it a go on my 40th birthday! I’ve never done anything so outside of my comfort zone and it honestly changed me as a person. Not only was I energized and adrenalized for literal days, but I proved to myself that I can do ANYTHING! 🌟
And now onto my daughter’s experience at Santa Barbara Trapeze Co. 🤩 My 12 year old has finally found her “thing”…and there’s no looking back! The crew at SBTC truly understands the importance of fostering confidence in their students. My daughter has grown leaps and bounds when it comes to her self-love & self-confidence. She feels nurtured, cared for, safe, motivated, supported, and celebrated. It just doesn’t get any better than that. Words can’t describe how eternally grateful I am for SBTC. 🙏🏽🤍✨

This was a wonderful experience for my teenage granddaughters. Chris was a great coach and very encouraging to all participants.He has a wonderful giving relationship with his community which was very nice to learn about . This is a unique experience and the girls were thrilled.

Best. Fathers Day. Ever. - Randy, Chris, Spencer, and Cooper gave our family an AWESOME and unforgettable day! In just 2 hours they had us up in the air, doing things that seemed so far beyond our boundaries at the start of the day. What an amazing experience! My husband and two teenage daughters were able to swing out, transition to hanging by their knees, and then get caught by one of the guys who was swinging on a separate trapeze. Our family looked like a high flying circus act by the end of the afternoon. (so bummed Google isn't letting me put up the video!) And the family members who joined us, but didn't go up on the ropes, enjoyed watching from the super comfy cozy lounge/viewing area. Everybody really enjoyed themselves regardless of whether they put on a harness and climbed a ladder or not. Thank you soooo much to all of you at the SBTC for helping my family make great memories - and feel like real daredevils! Oh - and BTW - comfiest merch every! We love the swag!
My niece was in town and I wanted to impress her with some fun activities -- the troupe at Santa Barbara Trapeze Co. did NOT disappoint! From the moment we stepped into their facility (a beautiful park in downtown Santa Barbara!) everything was top notch! Everyone was very friendly and encouraging, making us feel like we could certainly do this -- and we did! Because the instructors are all very supportive, patient, and give the clearest possible directions. Never did I think I'd be swinging upside down, let alone flying into the arms of another trapeze artist, but that's exactly what happened!
I could go on, but I'll end with what my niece and I couldn't stop saying to each other for the rest of the day after our lesson: "that was SO awesome!" Would I do it again? Without a doubt!

If someone would've told me, I would be jumping off a trapeze platform and then jumping into the arms of another trapeze artist... I would've laughed in your face and said, "that's what the professionals do." Well, I guess I'm joining the circus because by my 6th jump, I felt like I had the skill set and CONFIDENCE to conquer anything. Our instructors were so motivating, patient and informative of every single step, movement, and sensation we'd be experiencing once our feet left the earth. I never thought I would've done this and had the most fun and want to go back!!
They even encouraged my 4-year-old to climb up and attempt a jump. She got a bit nervous at the top and wanted to come back down but just the fact that she was trusting them and felt safe with them made my heart swell. I can't say enough great things about them. This is perfect for social groups, corporate groups, team building, family outings, bachelorettes, or even a one on one morale boost.

My grandkids were in town from Idaho, ages 7,11,13. I had heard about the trapeze place from friends, but also my personal trainer, Brie, who works there. All the rave reviews are spot on. Excellent instruction, professional staff and a ton of fun. The kids had a blast! Definitely recommend the experience!!
For context, I’m in my early 40s, athletic (e.g. spinner, street biker, hiker, etc.) but lack any background postured in gymnastics. Oh, and I have a nasty fear of heights. I had no idea what to expect when I signed up for this class on a whim while in town visiting. As a result of the thoughtful and knowledgeable instruction from the staff, I was able to fly about 6 or 7 times, ultimately, learning how to swing from the platform, hook my legs on the bar, let go of my hands (yes, while still hanging by my legs), and reach out to one of the instructors (shout out to Eric!) who then gripped my wrists as I released my legs from the bar allowing me to fly in a way I certainly did not think was possible! I highly recommend trying the trapeze, I felt safe—the equipment and instructors are very knowledge—and I had a freaking blast! If I can do it, you can do it! Just don’t look down before grabbing the bar…chin up, back arched forward, and eyes to the skies so you don’t psych yourself out! Hands down awesome experience!
What a fun and unique experience! My teen boys loved this so much we had to come back and do it a second time during our week long SB trip! The instructors were friendly and very knowledgeable. We all had a great time!

Had the time of my life! One of those moments in life that you’ll never forget…definitely a “control save” of an incredible 2 hours. Amazing what could be taught & accomplished in a 2 hour time period…we learned how to in the end, swing from one trapeze bar to another person swinging on another trapeze bar…catching us!…never in my life did I think that would be me…& the great staff …who is super friendly, professional, incredibly knowledgeable & positive… knew exactly how to help each one of us arrive to that end goal, despite our different techniques. Completely recommend this to anyone willing to give it a try. Our kids, ages 12 & 15, can’t wait to go back.
I've been to SBTC twice now, both for 4 day visits each. The staff have become friends. They are passionate about what they do, and care deeply about ensuring each and every person who comes through their doors has the best experience possible, no matter what level you're at. They're super supportive and encouraging. I don't think I've ever been to another trapeze school where every single person genuinely embodies the culture like they do there.
Randy has done a wonderful job choosing his staff, and you can tell he also cares very much both about both his trapeze community and the Santa Barbara community. There always seems to be school programs and corporate parties being planned and it's so wonderful to see.
I'm not sure what else I can say besides that you need to go visit this place. They're always happy for passer-bys to come in, sit down and watch if climbing up the ladder and taking a swing isn't your thing.
I was so incredibly fortunate to spend four glorious days at Santa Barbara Trapeze Co! Randy Kohn and Shane Weaver run amazing classes and programs for people of all levels and ages. Every person in their staff is supportive, encouraging and so much fun! The outreach they do for the community is superb. Flying on a trapeze is so empowering and exhilarating! I recommend them 100% and will never forget some of the very best days of my life! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! ❤️

Our recent team event at the trapeze place was nothing short of exhilarating! From the moment we stepped into the vibrant atmosphere, it was evident that this experience would be unlike any other team-building activity.
The trapeze instructors were not only skilled but also incredibly encouraging, creating a supportive environment for everyone to push their boundaries. The initial safety briefing was comprehensive, putting any apprehensions at ease. Once harnessed up, we took turns flying through the air, performing acrobatic moves, and experiencing the rush of adrenaline.
What truly set this team event apart was its ability to foster teamwork and camaraderie. Trust is paramount when swinging through the air, and each member of the team played a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and successful performance. The cheers and applause from colleagues on the ground created a sense of unity and encouragement that resonated throughout the entire event.

My son has been going to Santa Barbara Trapeze for a couple years. He has been able to overcome fears, learn new skills, and gain confidence. The staff is the best. They are able to push the kids while making them feel safe. They are all very positive and good at what they do. We would (and do) recommend Santa Barbara Trapeze to anybody. They also have trampoline, aerial, parkour etc. If you are interested, keep an eye on their website as they often have "open house" classes where you can come experience the facility for free.
Eric, Shane, and Drew were AWESOME! It was a very fun and wild (but also very safe) experience. They were extremely knowledgeable, encouraging, and helpful! Super glad my sister and I did this!
This is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid, and it was even more fun than I had imagined. Great people to hangout with/learn from, and a thrilling, yet safe experience I will be back for many times over.
My 7 year old tried Trapeze for the first time when she was 6 at a friend's birthday party. She is hooked on it (literally and figuratively). The support and love of the other participants and the teachers is truly amazing.
This is an INCREDIBLE experience!! I have never done anything like trapeze before, but the instructors are very supportive and make the whole experience very doable. Randy did a great job scaffolding up to more advanced actions, and all the staff gave wonderful advice. The equipment is very safe and you are being supported and strapped in the entire time. You would be surprised what you can do! Definitely worth trying at least once (though you might get hooked!)
We had a really great experience flying with SBTC! Their operation was super refined. They provided thorough instructions and guidance while making making us feel super safe. I highly suggest checking this place out for an adventurous afternoon.
My friends and I came here for my bachelorette and it was awesome!!! We had so much fun and did some amazing things high in the eucalyptus trees. What an adrenaline rush! This is a fantastic operation. Being high up there on the trapeze was thrilling for my grandkids, and just trying it was a real confidence-booster, thanks to the fantastic and supportive staff.
Our visit to SBTC was so much fun!! The setting is beautiful, the staff were exceptional, and the flying trapeze was such an adrenaline rush!! In 2 hours we went from being on the ground to swinging to releasing and getting caught on the other side! A MUST DO in Santa Barbara! Located only a few blocks off of the main strip, Santa Barbara Trapeze Company was the best! I went on a Tuesday with the UCSB Family Vacation Center and had so much fun, that I went back that Saturday with my family for the Beginner class.
If you have ever wanted to try trapeze or just have an adventure, this was awesome! They were able to teach all ages (there was a 5 year old in our group) and abilities to do a hanging knee catch at the end. As a second timer, I was challenged with a new trick, which was great! We definitely plan on coming back!
For Locals, they have a variety of classes and offer camps for kids as well!
I was so nervous about doing this but the staff made me feel safe and confident, provided clear guidance in a laidback and fun atmosphere that everyone should enjoy!!
